$24,000 in Scholarships Awarded

On Thursday, May 21, Colorado Valley Telephone Cooperative's Rural Scholarships were presented by Board President,
George Brandt,  III to 12 high school seniors.  Each recipient received a scholarship certificate valued at $2,000.

The Cooperative's Rural Scholarship Fund is derived from money (capital credits, deposits, etc.) unclaimed by former members of the Cooperative that would otherwise be deposited in the State's Escheat Fund.
In addition, earnings on money that has been set aside by the Cooperative's subsidiaries is used to fund the scholarships.

Colorado Valley Telephone is committed to its members and to the communities which we serve and is investing in the future through ongoing support of education. This marks the fourteenth year the Cooperative has provided funding to help further their education.
